John, a California native, has been an electrical professional for 30+ years. Starting his business in Berkeley CA in 1989, he has been the designer & builder of many electrical systems for: residences, commercial and lite industrial applications.
His professional experience includes hi-end residential remodels in San Francisco, Marin County and the San Francisco (East) bay to industrial and commercial applications including industrial sewing floors. Ratcliff Architects, The Disney Store, the North Face, Sierra Designs, Mountain Hardware, Erickson Outdoor and REI are just some of the clients who relied on John to design, build and pass inspection on the build out, modification or new construction.
In 2001 John joined with Sun Light & Power and brought his electrical knowledge/prowess to the renewable energy industry. During his time at Sun Light & Power John managed a crew of 25. He was responsible for the installation of commercial & residential Photovoltaic systems including the care for the crew, the client and their property, a competent well installed PV system that passed electrical and building inspections.
John Moved to Santa Fe, NM in 2010 and has been working in the renewable energy field, specifically Utility Scale Photovoltaic performing commissioning and maintenance for the last 7 years.
He has now resumed his own electrical contracting business here in the Santa Fe area. When not taking care of his client's needs, John enjoys playing music (Guitar, saxophone, piano and drums), skiing and hiking with their dogs Rio and Deuce. He is married to professional dog trainer Almudena Ortiz Cué.
